The “Illustrated Book of Mormon Stories” published by Deseret Book came out just in time for the holidays. working on the paintings for this book was an exiting but stressful time. Originally two artist were going to collaborate on the artwork, but just a few week into it I got the whole thing. I have to give my family thanks for giving me up so that I could do this project because I basically fell of the face of the planet for four months. after a couple of months planning, photo shoots, and sketches I did the math and added up all the paintings, and I had to do a painting a day to get it all done by the deadline. Well a lot of prayers and long, long days later I finished everything with the last painting going out the morning of the deadline. It was a wonderful opportunity to work on a Book of Mormon reader for kids, I know how much my Book of Mormon picture book meant to me when I was little and first learning the stories, and I spent hours looking at the pictures and reading, in that order. I have to thank everyone at Deseret Book that worked on the book putting it together, they did a fabulous job. I hope you all enjoy it.
